100 days smarter and still growing! 💯
Our kindergarteners celebrated the 100th day of school by focusing on the number 100 all day long — counting, building, creating, and discovering just how much they’ve learned since September.

Thanks to our student government , we officially have our pajama count. We collected 381 pairs of pajamas to donate the Beyond Bedtime program. Way to go OPS! Your efforts will help children get a good night's sleep so they can awake ready to tackle each day. #LoveOurOPSFamily #BigSchoolBigHeart

🍪On Friday, Grade 2 celebrated with a cookie party hosted by @carsonscookiedough after raising the largest donation for the @bestbuddies Champion of the Year campaign this fall. Any day with a Carson’s cookie is a good day! Thanks @rd_bestbuddies for the video—we loved seeing OPS alumni. 🍪 #ProudPantherPrincipal #TheWayofthePanther #BestBuddies #LoveOurOPSCommunity

What better way to give yourself a few extra minutes the morning after the Super Bowl than to wear your pajamas to school! The OPS Student Government is running a pajama collection drive to ensure all children have something we often take for granted - a new pair of pajamas as they snuggle off to sleep! We encourage our OPS community to join us and wear a pair and share a pair on February 9th! #LoveOurOPSFamily #BigSchoolBigHeart #PantherPride

OPS's 70+ cameras are in place for the safety and security of our students and staff; however, sometimes they catch something that just makes you smile . . . like this heart made in the snow by some creative artists! #PeaceLoveAndPantherPride #LoveOurOPSFamily #TheWorldIsYourCanvas

When "Eye on OPS" arrives in your mailbox, there is a reminder to register for kindergarten. The snow is still on the ground, but we are already planning for the year ahead! Having accurate kindergarten numbers allows us to properly budget for staffing and resources. We can't wait to meet our newest OPS Panthers at kindergarten orientation this spring! #LoveOurOPSFamily #PantherPride #LetTheJourneyBegin

4th Graders welcomed their families to their Biography and Math Showcase on Friday. Students taught families about the legacies they studied and the math they've learned. It was a wonderful afternoon of sharing. #ProudPantherPrincipal #ProudPantherParents #OPSBiography&MathShowcase

At last night's BOE meeting, the 2026-2027 school calendar was approved. For families with students in both the Oradell and River Dell school districts, our calendars are aligned. (Hint: If you need childcare on a day off, call a RDHS student!) As regular attendance is one of the greatest predictors of academic success, we wanted to ensure you had the calendar with enough time to plan family events and vacations. A copy has been placed on the website and will also be in the Community Flash. #MovingForwardTogther #WayOfThePanther

Why was Humpty Dumpty on that wall? First graders and their families pushed their thinking tonight by exploring familiar nursery rhymes, solving problems based on them, seeking alternate solutions and defending their ideas! #ThinkOutsideTheBox #CreativityCounts #PantherPride

Our fifth graders spent part of Friday sharing the blogs they wrote with their families. This unit helps students learn to elaborate their thinking and support their ideas with a combination of research and personal experiences. #WritingPower #LoveLearning #LoveOurOPSFamily

OPS was busy over break! Six new interactive boards were installed in classrooms. Along with regular cleaning, our floors received a mid-year refresh and numerous railings were painted. We can't wait until the 8:30 bell rings and our hallways are full again. #PantherPride #NewYear

Today was a day for singing and games, parties and snacks, instrumental carolers . . . and performing snowmen. It was a day for happiness and joy as we send our students and staff off for winter break. We can't wait to see what January 2026 brings! #LoveOurOPSFamily #PantherPride #Don'tForgetToRead
