In today's "Where in the World is the OPS Staff?" challenge, it is our fifth grade team's turn. Ms. Malenda would probably enjoy a jog over this 1.7 mile long bridge. #LoveOurOPSStaff #WhereInTheWorld #OPSFamilyFun

Continuing with our "Where in the World is the OPS Staff?" challenge, it is our second grade team's turn. Knowing how much they love studying this topic, I'm sure they are gathering more information for future lessons on their travels. #LoveOurOPSStaff #WhereInTheWorld #OPSFamilyFun

During Staff Appreciation Week, along with breakfasts and lunches and special treats, we annually have a staff competition. This year, we are challenging our staff to identify "Where in the World is the OPS Staff?" All week, different photos will be posted on the OPS website live feed. Feel free to guess along! We are starting it out with our music team in a location we are sure they would LOVE to go on a field trip! #LoveOurOPSStaff #WhereInTheWorld #OPSFamilyFun

OPS has always been about the balance between embracing tradition and trying new experiences. One new field trip this year was our first grade visit to the Thielke Arobretum in Glen Rock. It provided a wonderful opportunity to explore the outdoors and make connections to classroom science learning. #HandsOnLearning #ScienceRocks #FirstGradeFun @ThielkeArboretum

Volunteer activities are part of the 6th grade experience each year. These events provide students an opportunity to give back to the school, people and community that have given to them over their seven years at OPS. Today, they worked to spruce up the town. #PantherPride #BigSchoolBigHeart #6thGradeGiveBack

For the past two years, four of our teachers have spent every Wednesday night developing their skills in providing a structured, multisensory approach to literacy as they pursued graduate school credits culminating in an Orton-Gillingham (OG) Teacher Certificate. It was a LOT of work, and we are so proud of them! #LifeLongLearners #PantherPride #LoveOurOPSFamily

Sunday Spotlight ✨Shining a light on last weekend’s 6th Grade Spring Fling! Under the New York City Lights theme, students danced, laughed, and celebrated together all night long. Such a fun way to make memories as they head into their final weeks at OPS! Thanks to the 6th-Grade Parents for helping to create a wonderful memory for the students.

It was truly a singular sensation!!! It was amazing seeing so many former students shine both on stage and behind stage. There are two performances left this weekend, and we highly recommend getting yourself a ticket. @rdhs_drama #OnceAPantherAlwaysAPanther #PantherPride #ArtsMatter

Today was extra special at OPS as our staff brought their children in for Take Your Child to Work Day 🐾💛. We loved welcoming our honorary Panthers and seeing some of our Panther alumni back in the building. There’s nothing better than sharing our school community with the people we love most. #LoveOurOPSCommunity #OnceAPantherAlwaysAPanther #PantherPride #OPSFamilies #PantherFamily

Yesterday our 6th graders headed into NYC for their final OPS field trip to the American Museum of Natural History! 🦖🌎✨ They explored space, history, geology, and took on a scavenger hunt through the museum. When asked what they would change, the only complaint was... too much walking 😄! #6thGradeMemories #ItIsaBigMuseum #MakingMemories @amnh

It might feel a little springy outside, but last Tuesday, 2nd- and 3rd-graders brought the Winter Olympics to life during Family STEAM Night! ❄️🎿

Students explored the science behind winter sports through hands-on challenges, testing ideas, building, and problem-solving just like real athletes and engineers. From motion and force to teamwork and creativity, it was learning in action!

To say thank you to some of the people who have helped them through the years, 6th grade students delivered popcorn care packages to our school nurse, custodians, police officers, fire fighters and crossing guards! The goal of the 6th Grade Give Back Program is to find ways for students to use their strengths to show gratitude and find ways to make the world a better place with small actions. #LoveOurOPSFamily #BigSchoolBigHeart #SmallActionsBigImpact #OPSClassof2026

Today our 3rd and 4th graders had the opportunity to learn from author @janowitzjessie! 📚✨

Jessie Janowitz shared her writing process, highlighted the importance of hooking readers, and introduced students to “read-alike” books related to her work. She even got everyone involved with a fun game of Two Truths and a Lie!
Thank you to @oradell_pta for sponsoring her visit and supporting meaningful experiences for our students. (@janowitzjessie) #MarchIntoReading #OPSReads #LoveOurPTA

Thank you to @oradell_pta for sponsoring an incredible author visit with Gordan Korman for our 5th and 6th graders! 📚✨ It was a treat to hear an excerpt from his latest book, Hypergifted, and to learn about his journey as a writer—from starting at just 12 years old to where he is today. His insights, stories, and humor truly inspired our students!
