Sometimes, it's the little things that you celebrate . . . like when we can at least get some students outside for recess! Hey! Hey! Hey! . . . We went outside today!! #FreshAir #TheSnowCanGo #MovingForwardTogether

Throwback to last week when our Grade 3 students welcomed families into their classrooms for a Love of Math demonstration! ❤️➕➗ Parents had the chance to see math in action — problem solving, math talk, strategy sharing, and students explaining their thinking. We love opening our doors and showcasing the incredible learning happening every day at OPS. 🐾

🏅✨ Tonight was a double header of Olympic-themed STEAM Family Nights! ✨🏅
Grades 1 and 4/5 brought home the gold, using creativity and problem-solving to design marble luges and skeleton racers. From testing angles to adjusting speed and structure, families worked together to engineer some impressive runs! #TheWayofthePanther #OPSSTEAM #FamilySTEAMNight

Last week, our kindergarten families joined us for a Winter Olympics–themed STEAM Night! ❄️⛷️
We love seeing our youngest Panthers explore, create, and think like engineers — and there are more Family STEAM Nights to come! 💡

100 days smarter and still growing! 💯
Our kindergarteners celebrated the 100th day of school by focusing on the number 100 all day long — counting, building, creating, and discovering just how much they’ve learned since September.

Thanks to our student government , we officially have our pajama count. We collected 381 pairs of pajamas to donate the Beyond Bedtime program. Way to go OPS! Your efforts will help children get a good night's sleep so they can awake ready to tackle each day. #LoveOurOPSFamily #BigSchoolBigHeart

🍪On Friday, Grade 2 celebrated with a cookie party hosted by @carsonscookiedough after raising the largest donation for the @bestbuddies Champion of the Year campaign this fall. Any day with a Carson’s cookie is a good day! Thanks @rd_bestbuddies for the video—we loved seeing OPS alumni. 🍪 #ProudPantherPrincipal #TheWayofthePanther #BestBuddies #LoveOurOPSCommunity

What better way to give yourself a few extra minutes the morning after the Super Bowl than to wear your pajamas to school! The OPS Student Government is running a pajama collection drive to ensure all children have something we often take for granted - a new pair of pajamas as they snuggle off to sleep! We encourage our OPS community to join us and wear a pair and share a pair on February 9th! #LoveOurOPSFamily #BigSchoolBigHeart #PantherPride

OPS's 70+ cameras are in place for the safety and security of our students and staff; however, sometimes they catch something that just makes you smile . . . like this heart made in the snow by some creative artists! #PeaceLoveAndPantherPride #LoveOurOPSFamily #TheWorldIsYourCanvas

When "Eye on OPS" arrives in your mailbox, there is a reminder to register for kindergarten. The snow is still on the ground, but we are already planning for the year ahead! Having accurate kindergarten numbers allows us to properly budget for staffing and resources. We can't wait to meet our newest OPS Panthers at kindergarten orientation this spring! #LoveOurOPSFamily #PantherPride #LetTheJourneyBegin

At last night's BOE meeting, the 2026-2027 school calendar was approved. For families with students in both the Oradell and River Dell school districts, our calendars are aligned. (Hint: If you need childcare on a day off, call a RDHS student!) As regular attendance is one of the greatest predictors of academic success, we wanted to ensure you had the calendar with enough time to plan family events and vacations. A copy has been placed on the website and will also be in the Community Flash. #MovingForwardTogther #WayOfThePanther
