Our fifth graders spent part of Friday sharing the blogs they wrote with their families. This unit helps students learn to elaborate their thinking and support their ideas with a combination of research and personal experiences. #WritingPower #LoveLearning #LoveOurOPSFamily

OPS was busy over break! Six new interactive boards were installed in classrooms. Along with regular cleaning, our floors received a mid-year refresh and numerous railings were painted. We can't wait until the 8:30 bell rings and our hallways are full again. #PantherPride #NewYear

Today was a day for singing and games, parties and snacks, instrumental carolers . . . and performing snowmen. It was a day for happiness and joy as we send our students and staff off for winter break. We can't wait to see what January 2026 brings! #LoveOurOPSFamily #PantherPride #Don'tForgetToRead

Our sixth graders are helping to spread joy this season! Our sixth grade student government members (under the guidance of Mrs. Cataldo and Mrs. Garcia) packed the truck with gifts collected at OPS for OPD's "Toys for Tots" drive. Then, a group of sixth graders visited Care One of Oradell to perform (under the direction of Mrs. Riesebieter) for the people in residence. #BigSchoolBigHeart #PantherPride #SpreadJoy

Congratulations to Mrs. Kristin Terzano, OPS’s 2025 Governor’s Educator of the Year! 🎉✨
With 20 years at OPS and nearly 30 years in education, Mrs. Terzano's impact is truly immeasurable. Her smile brightens our halls, her energy lifts our spirits, and her commitment to all things OPS inspires our entire community. She is a mentor, a helper, and a steady source of support for staff and families. Most of all, she makes every child feel seen, valued, and important. We are so grateful for all she brings to OPS.

OPS Turkey Trot = community win! We collected 4,105 nonperishable items for @centerforfoodaction...almost twice as many items as last year. Huge thanks to our students, @oradell_pta volunteers, and Oradell Girl Scout Troops 97858 & 97957—and to every family who donated.
Stay tuned: our Assistant Principals will thank students by competing as turkeys in an obstacle course next week! #LoveOurOPSCommunity #PantherPride #PantherTurkeyTrot #OPSAPsAreTurkeys

Our Turkey Trot food collection is underway. We hit 1500 items today. If we collect another 500 items, our Assistant Principals will go into their blow-up turkey costumes! If you are worried about your child carrying their food donation to school, you can drop off donations tomorrow in front of the OPS Auditorium from 10 AM - 1 PM. Special thanks to Girl Scout Troops 97858 & 97957 for helping out. #BigSchoolBigHeart #TurkeyAPs #OurSchoolOurPath #PantherPride

The Turkey Trot has been an OPS tradition for ten years. Each year it evolves. This year, Ms. Maiella and Mr. Kelly suggested adding a family night. We walked. We ran. We laughed. And thanks to the PTA, we stayed warm with hot chocolate. Now we can't wait to see those food donations come in! #LoveOurOPSFamily #5000ItemGoal #BigSchoolBigHeart

Just a little reminiscing as we prepare for today's festivities . . . did you know that when the @riverdellhighschool seniors were in 6th grade, it rained too much to have our typical parade? But you know what we say at OPS . . . when life gives you lemons, make lemonade! It was an amazing day for our kids!!!! @OnceAPantherAlwaysAPanther @PantherPride @LoveOurOPSFamily
