Congratulations to River Dell's Class of 2026 Valedictorian! She may be flying high as a hawk, but she has the heart of an OPS Panther! #PantherPride #OnceAPantherAlwaysAPanther #Readers=Leaders

Students in Art Club were invited by Ms. Schlessinger for an after-school field trip to Oradell’s Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum—exploring local art, creativity, and inspiration beyond the classroom. #OPSArt #ArtClub #AfterSchoolFun

OPS's 70+ cameras are in place for the safety and security of our students and staff; however, sometimes they catch something that just makes you smile . . . like this heart made in the snow by some creative artists! #PeaceLoveAndPantherPride #LoveOurOPSFamily #TheWorldIsYourCanvas

OPS will have a 90-minute delayed opening tomorrow, 1/27. Students may arrive at 9:45 for a 10:00 start. PreK 3 will run from 10:00 - 12:00 and PreK 4 will run from 1:00 - 3:00. The YWCA before care program will not run tomorrow morning. #StayWarm #StaySafe #ComeReadyToLearn

Stay safe and don't forget to use some of your time to read! #ThePantherWay #SnowBooks #StayWarm

At last night's BOE meeting, the 2026-2027 school calendar was approved. For families with students in both the Oradell and River Dell school districts, our calendars are aligned. (Hint: If you need childcare on a day off, call a RDHS student!) As regular attendance is one of the greatest predictors of academic success, we wanted to ensure you had the calendar with enough time to plan family events and vacations. A copy has been placed on the website and will also be in the Community Flash. #MovingForwardTogther #WayOfThePanther

Our fifth graders spent part of Friday sharing the blogs they wrote with their families. This unit helps students learn to elaborate their thinking and support their ideas with a combination of research and personal experiences. #WritingPower #LoveLearning #LoveOurOPSFamily

6th grade STEAMTank planning has officially begun! Our students are brainstorming real-world problems and designing innovative solutions as part of the New Jersey School Boards Association. We can’t wait to see where this road leads! 💡🛣️

OPS was busy over break! Six new interactive boards were installed in classrooms. Along with regular cleaning, our floors received a mid-year refresh and numerous railings were painted. We can't wait until the 8:30 bell rings and our hallways are full again. #PantherPride #NewYear

Our sixth graders are helping to spread joy this season! Our sixth grade student government members (under the guidance of Mrs. Cataldo and Mrs. Garcia) packed the truck with gifts collected at OPS for OPD's "Toys for Tots" drive. Then, a group of sixth graders visited Care One of Oradell to perform (under the direction of Mrs. Riesebieter) for the people in residence. #BigSchoolBigHeart #PantherPride #SpreadJoy

We may be dreaming of sugar plums and chocolate gelt, but our Panthers are still learning, thinking, and working hard right up until break!
Proud of their focus and perseverance! #threemoresleeps #thewayofthepanther
