LINKIT! PARENT PORTAL PARENT ACADEMY: Last week, families received information about the opening of the LinkIt! Parent Portal, which provides access to students’ assessment data and reports. To help families access and navigate the portal, we are offering a LinkIt! Parent Portal Academy on Wednesday, September 30, from 6:30–7:45 PM.
This will be a drop-in event, so you may come at any time during that window. Staff will be available to help you log in and navigate the portal. If you plan to attend, please complete the RSVP form HERE. Computers will be available, but please bring your LinkIt! login information with you.
PTA MEETING: The first Oradell PTA meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday at 7:30 PM. All families are encouraged to attend and consider joining the PTA. Please consider coming to the meeting and joining the PTA. It is a great way to get involved at OPS.
OPS LIBRARY READING PROGRAMS: OPS offers voluntary reading enrichment programs for students in Grades 1–6! Students can participate in the Caldecott Program (Grade 1), Reading Stars (Grade 2), Bookworm Program (Grade 3), and Newbery Scholars (Grades 4–6). Each program encourages students to read for pleasure, explore new books, and celebrate their accomplishments along the way. Please check out the information under School Notices below for your child’s grade level and encourage them to participate!
SAVE THE DATE 🎃 HALLOWEEN PARADE: The OPS Halloween Parade will be held on Friday, October 30 at 2:05 PM on Memorial Field. Families and guests are welcome to join us!
Students will have regular instruction in the morning and should not wear costumes to school. Halloween activities will begin in the afternoon. Lunch/recess will be from 11:15 AM–12:45 PM. Students may be picked up at 11:15 to have lunch and change into their costumes at home, returning at 12:45. Students who remain at school will have lunch/recess at OPS and change into their costumes afterward. Additional parade, costume, and safety information will be shared in the near future.
