Return of Panther Pride: Our Path, Our OPS
Monday: E Day
SUMMER READING LAUNCH: Curl up with a great story and kick off a summer of reading! Join us on Monday from 7-8 PM for a fun-filled evening featuring read-alouds by OPS teachers, a chance to meet our new Library Media Specialist and Spanish teacher, photos with the Panther, and an opportunity to connect with the Oradell Public Library. Click HERE for times and more information.
LOST & FOUND: Lost & Found items will be available for families to view on the basketball court Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM (weather permitting). All remaining items will be donated on Friday, so please stop by to check for any missing belongings.
SUMMER LEARNING: Summer Learning information will be shared with families at the end of this week. Activities are designed to help students maintain important reading and math skills, build strong learning habits, and feel confident as they begin the next school year. We encourage families to make summer learning part of their routine while also allowing plenty of time for reading, exploring interests, and enjoying summer break.
SEPTEMBER PHONE & WATCH MANDATE: Beginning in September 2026, Oradell Public School will implement New Jersey's Bell-to-Bell Device-Free School requirement. The goal of the law is to reduce distractions, increase student engagement, support social interaction, and promote a focused learning environment. Under this law, students will not be permitted to use cell phones, smartwatches, or other personal communication devices during the school day from 8:30 AM until dismissal at 3:00 PM. Students will keep phones and smartwatches powered off and stored in their backpacks throughout the school day. Students with a documented medical need that requires access to a phone or smartwatch during the school day may request an exemption. Medical documentation from a healthcare provider must be submitted to the school nurse for review prior to the start of the school year. Additional information regarding implementation procedures will be shared with families later this summer.
2026-27 SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS: The 2026–27 school supply lists can be found HERE. Families may purchase supplies on their own or participate in the Oradell Public School PTA school supply fundraiser HERE, which offers prepackaged kits containing the exact supplies requested by teachers for each grade level.
