Return of Panther Pride: Our Path, Our OPS
Monday: F Day
NJ SPECIAL OLYMPICS TORCH RUN: We are proud to once again collaborate with the Oradell Police Department to participate in the Torch Run Campaign to benefit the New Jersey Special Olympics. Students can support this important cause by making a $5 donation and adding their name to a torch, which will be displayed throughout the school. Any 5th or 6th grade student who donates $30 or more by May 8 will receive a Torch Run t-shirt and have the opportunity to run with the police officers as they approach the school during the Torch Run in June. For more information on the Torch Run, click HERE. We appreciate your support in making this a successful event!
6TH GRADE STEAMTANK STUDENT REQUESTS:
Hi! We are the Toilet Titans. Our group has advanced to the finals of the NJ STEAM Tank competition. We made it to the top 20 out of 600 groups in New Jersey. We need some information to support our product. Please help us by filling out this short survey.
Did you know that between 60–100 million crayons are wasted each year? Crayons are made of a non-biodegradable wax that can take hundreds of years to break down in landfills. Help support our 6th grade STEAM Eco-Doh project by donating old and used crayons to the STEAM Lab. A collection box will be located outside the lab. Thank you for your support!
STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK: Our OPS staff truly is the best in the world, and we are excited to celebrate them during this week’s Teacher and Staff Appreciation celebration. A kind note goes a long way. Messages of appreciation for all staff members, including teachers, aides, nurses, custodians, and secretaries, are always welcomed and appreciated. OPS loves to feel the love!
NJSLA CONTINUES THIS WEEK: A reminder that NJSLA testing continues this week for Grade 3 and begins for Grades 4 & 5. Please help your child get a good night’s sleep and eat breakfast before coming to school, as snack will be held after testing each day.
SCHAEFER SUMMER EXPLORATIONS PROGRAM: The Oradell Public School District is excited to offer the Schaefer Explorations Summer Enrichment Program, including KinderCamp. This voluntary program runs weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 PM, beginning Monday, June 22 and ending Friday, July 17 (closed July 3). With three periods each day, families can choose from a variety of engaging classes. Classes, registration, and payment information can be found HERE. The deadline to register before late fees apply is Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS ART SHOW HELP: OPS’s Art Show will be held on May 19th! Ms. Schlessinger is looking for parent volunteers to help prepare student artwork for the show.
