Off Site Lunch Dismissal: Commencing with the first day of school, all students leaving the building at lunchtime must be checked out at the beginning of lunchtime and checked back in at the end of lunchtime by the child's parent or guardian, or another adult designated in writing by the child's parent or guardian. The following are procedures for full day students each day the child will be leaving for lunch.
The child's parent or guardian must send a note to the child's homeroom teacher indicating that the child will be checked out at lunch. In a family with more than one child being checked out, a separate note must be sent to each child's homeroom teacher. Parents may also designate another parent or adult to pick up their child. The note may be just one sentence indicating that the child will be checked out and by whom. At dismissal for lunch, children who are being picked up will be directed to the main hallway outside the principal's office where school personnel will coordinate the procedure. Children will be released only to the adult specified in the note. At the conclusion of lunch, the adult accompanying the child at lunch must come back into the building to check the child back in if the child is in Kindergarten - 3rd Grade. Students in 4th - 6th grade may sign themselves back in.
