    Dr. Maria Nuccetelli, Interim Superintendent

    INTRODUCTION
The Superintendent of Schools is responsible for all aspects required to operate a school district. She oversees the administrators responsible for the day to day operation of the school, ensures that the district is run according to law and code, and works with the Board of Education to provide the necessary resources and support to ensure student access to high quality educational programs. The Superintendent is ultmately responsible for everything that happens in the district even those things that she may delegate to other staff members.
I come to the Oradell School District with over forty years of experience. I started my career as a Science teacher in the Oakland Public Schools and went on to be the Business Administrator in the Denville Public Schools. Subsequently, my career path led me to work for the New Jersey Department of Education for over 16 years. While at the NJDOE, I served as county school business administrator, county superintendent of schools, director of state operated school districts, coordinating county superintendent for the Northern Region and Assistant Commissioner for Field Services. From there, I went to Wayne as the Superitnedent of Schools and retired from there after three years. Since "retirement", I have work with a charter school, served as the interim assistant superintendent in the Clifton School District and now as Interim Superintendent of the Oradell School District.
My husband and I reside in Wayne and have two children and three grandchildren. Education has always been a passion for me and it has always been my goal to work diligently to provide all children everywhere with the best educational opportunities that are available. Our children are our futrue and we need to ensure their success!
